Tajikistan National NGOs Association (TNNGOA) was established in the year 2009 based on the recommendations from delegates and representatives of the first National NGO Forum held in May 2008, after recognizing the exceptional role national networks play to help promote a stronger and more resilient civil society sector around the world. Since its inception, the organization has been instrumental in promoting partnership between CSO and government institutions through organizing dialogues, forums, workshops and conferences. TNNGOA is working to bring CSO and government institution together to improve democracy, accountability, transparency, good governance in Tajikistan. To date, the organization has organized and conducted numerous events and round of consultations with CSOs, government institutions, and development partners.

TNNGOA is registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan under registration number 1040 “Б”. As of today, the Association has been able to implement more than 50 projects. Currently, more than 200 members, the most active and effective NGOs throughout the country have joined the Association. TNNGOA has a strong network of local partners located in different parts of the country making the Association able to cover the entire country. The organization is funded by Private and Institutional donors.

Mission. TNNGOA’s mission is to consolidate and coordinate CSOs activities through an effective mechanism which includes networking activities among key institutions as well as the facilitation of a strong and effective collaboration between governmental authorities and CSOs in addressing social and economic needs in Tajikistan.

Board of Directors. The Board of Directors consists of 9 highly-skilled, qualified and experienced members (5 male, 4 female).
